Everyone's financial goals are different. Their retirement strategies should be, too.
At Clients Excel, we believe in helping clients demystify the complexities of retirement planning and in finding the right strategy to their unique challenges. Retirement should a time of adventure and fun, not a time of stress and worry. Together, let's create a plan you can be confident in.
Your Dedicated Financial Advisors
David C. Treece, Founder & Financial Advisor
David believes that good financial planning is about more than investments and numbers. It's about helping people make wise decisions so they can retire with confidence. That conviction has shaped the way he has served clients since entering the financial services industry in 2011.
Having grown up around the business, it felt like a natural fit. Before joining his family's firm in North Carolina, where he was raised, David worked for another financial advisor. Over the next seven years, he learned the business from the ground up, serving as an assistant or, as he jokingly says, the "head gopher."
In the fall of 2018, David left his family's firm and founded Clients Excel in Spartanburg with a simple goal: to provide thoughtful, personalized financial guidance and a client experience that is second to none.
Not long after opening the firm, the COVID-19 pandemic changed the way financial advisors met with clients. Rather than seeing it as a setback, David embraced technology and transitioned the firm online. What initially seemed like a challenge became an opportunity, allowing Clients Excel to serve families in multiple states across the country.
Today, while the firm serves clients from its offices in Spartanburg and Greenville, virtual meetings remain an important part of how David works with clients who prefer the convenience of meeting from home or who live outside the local area. Looking back, David is grateful for God's faithfulness in turning a difficult season into one of growth.
Clients often comment on David's ability to explain complex financial concepts in a practical, easy-to-understand way. He believes people make better decisions when they truly understand their options, which is why education is at the heart of his practice. Rather than simply telling clients what to do, David enjoys equipping them with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions with confidence.
Each week, David writes a newsletter and produces a podcast that reaches thousands of subscribers. Through stories about his family and everyday life, he shares timeless financial principles and practical retirement planning insights in a way that is both personal and relatable.
More than anything, David is passionate about helping people approach retirement with greater confidence. He enjoys taking the time to understand each client's goals, concerns, and values before making recommendations, believing that good financial planning begins with listening.
David earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University. He serves on the Board of Directors for Oakbrook Preparatory School in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and is actively involved in his church community.
David and his wife, Mallory, have two daughters, Amelia and Ansley. When he's not meeting with clients, writing, or recording educational content for his podcast, you'll usually find him spending time with his family or riding his bicycle through the Upstate in an effort to stay in shape.
Felicia Page, Client Services Associate
Felicia Page, originally from Germany, grew up in the local community and attended District 5 schools where she was an enthusiastic cheerleader. Felicia's family instilled in her great work ethic early, starting her first job as a lifeguard at the Middle Tyger YMCA at the age of 15.
From a young age, Felicia had a passion for animals and aspired to be a veterinarian. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus on pre-veterinary medicine and a minor in Business Administration from USC Upstate.
With over a decade of customer service experience across various industries—including restaurants, automotive, and real estate—Felicia has honed her skills in client relations. As a Realtor for 10 years, she became known for guiding clients through the home-buying journey, ensuring they understood their options at every step.
At Clients Excel, Felicia applies her extensive customer service background to develop strategies that enhance the client experience. Additionally, she plays a key role in expanding the firm's brand presence through innovative social media marketing, helping position Clients Excel as Spartanburg’s premier boutique financial planning firm.
Residing in Inman, Felicia spends her free time exploring the outdoors from the Cottonwood Trail to the Flowering Bridge at Lake lure and even the vibrant urban developments in Spartanburg. She is also a proud mother and hopes to leave a legacy of financial wisdom to her son.
Bryce Cofer, Client Services Associate
Bryce Cofer was born and raised in Illinois. From a young age, Bryce has been immersed in the family business, which specializes in roadway striping. Whether working alongside his parents or taking on shop and yard management responsibilities, Bryce developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for business operations early on.
Growing up homeschooled, Bryce had the unique opportunity to begin working and learning simultaneously. His exposure to business practices from childhood helped shape his passion for finance and problem-solving. He’s a self-starter who enjoys seeing tasks through to completion and values the discipline that comes with balancing work, academics, and family responsibilities.
Now a senior in college, Bryce is pursuing a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. He is highly motivated and always looking for opportunities to grow both professionally and personally.
During his internship with ClientsExcel, Bryce hopes to gain deeper insight into retirement planning, tax minimization strategies, and the financial markets. He’s excited to work alongside David and Felicia and is eager to contribute to the team this year.
